• The door drags or takes real effort to move. This is almost always a flattened or corroded roller. Florida humidity gets into the bearing and the roller stops rolling, which means the door is now sliding on a flat spot, chewing the track. The longer it runs that way, the more likely the track needs work too.
• The door lifts or drops when you close it. If the panel jumps at the latch or sags toward the lock side, the roller adjustment is out or the roller housing has cracked. Left alone, the door will start wearing the track unevenly and the lock will stop aligning.
• The lock works intermittently or not at all. A PGT lock that works only when you lift the door or push the stile inward is telling you the door is out of adjustment or the keepers are worn.
